Post subject: | Another toilet question. |
I am in Southern California, so no freezing problems here. We operate an AT&SF 999570 caboose on weekends as a fundraiser. The caboose now has a microsomething type toilet that is totally trashed. Many people are put off by the fact there is no toilet, even though it is only a 40 minute ride. I am looking for suggestions on how to replace it and what to replace it with. There is no power in the caboose. Thank you |

Sounds like a typical Microphor caboose toilet system-- https://www.wabtec.com/business-units/microphor Those guys are the OEM manufacturer and should be able to help with parts, etc. A properly-operating Microphor system just needs compressed air (reducing valve and regulator off the brake pipe) to operate. Google "Microphor" for additional info from users and other railcar/caboose operators. Howard P. |
