Post subject:  White Mountain Scenic Railroad

Another early tourist railroad, and one that lasted for 12 years, was the White Mountain Scenic Railroad in Bell, Arizona. Following along the route of a former logging line on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, the route went from McNary to Maverick, until the route was cut back due to track conditions. The end of service had to do with disagreements with the Tribe and not owning this ROW or track outright.

Today the two locomotives are in the famous Kepner collection, and two or three of the coaches are at CSRM in Sacramento.
