I know the question was posted earlier, but what has happened to Little River Locomotive Company, the book publishers?
Thanks

The book business has closed shop and that is the word from the man who operated the web site. I don't know for sure as to why he closed the site or the business.

They took my money and ran with it. I subscribed to "Steamin Up" received 3 issues (maybe only 2?) and then they stopped sending it. Never got a refund or an explanation.

Yes I have heard that from a few others. However I think if you pay by cc. that gives you some protection. bb

Ken Riddle is the fellow who started this along with Steamin' Up magazine. I sent him a book to reprint with the understanding I would get my book back along with some of the reprints. I never received anything back but he listed it on as website - it was "The Work of the Railway Carman". When I could get him on the phone he said he was having problems but would get them out to me as soon as he could. Eventually it reached the point where he wouldn't answer my e-mails or phone calls. I kept the receipt from when I sent him the book along with copies of the e-mails outlining the deal we made; I am considering filing mail fraud charges against him.

Quite an old thread to be dredging up! I have found reference that at one time he printed copies of "Baldwin Locomotive Works Steam Locomotive Standards Volumes 1, 2, &3". Does anyone know if it is still possible to find copies that I may purchase? I can find volume 3 for 30 pounds off a British website, but not the other two volumes

Thanks
