It is disappointing, and I think they are making a mistake (long distance trains such as the Lake Shore will not be able to use it) but Buffalo decided to build a new station downtown instead of restoring the art deco former New York Central Terminal. http://buffalonews.com/2017/04/20/publi ... n-meeting/

Chicago regularly pulls the passenger trains out and turns them, but its a city with multiple active stations. Mass transit is your big aid here. Do you want just one location for the trains or can you share 2 locations as needed, there's plenty of problem solving to make a new location effective.Perhaps you want to keep a train or 2 at the NYCT.

Bummer... and also short-sighted. Let's hope there's more love for the incredible BCT. If you haven't toured it, I highly recommend a visit. It is beautiful and there is a great team of folks working to make it useable again.
