Hi All, It has been reported that the April 22, 2017, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad commission meeting that did not happen was a complete success. The attendance was only of supporters of the railroad and without the typical oversight from the commission. Unfortunately, the commission will have its usual impact on the railroad at the May 13th commission meeting. For those of you who want to upset your wife, join us in Chama on Mother’s Day Weekend. Unfortunately, this is not a joke. Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad Commission Meeting C&TSRR Commission Agenda April 22, 2017 9:00 AM Chama Senior Center Public Input – Public comments/questions will be allowed during each topic upon being recognized by the Chairman. Comments and questions may be no longer than 3 minutes and must adhere to any other requirements established by the Chairman. All public speakers must indicate their desires by registering in advance of the meeting on the available sign-up sheet which will become part of the record of the meeting. Apparently, the meeting was postponed but the word did not get out because a web site was not updated. Two people made a trip to Chama only to find out the meeting was cancelled. But the site they used to track the meeting schedule had not been updated. Unfortunately, this was the official site of the owner. This is a good reminder that the I formation you give out ahead of time needs to be as accurate as possible. When things change you need to work hard to inform all parties of the change.
