Look, if Doyle McCormack could rebuild his PA1 with what he had to work with, this FA1 can be rebuilt. If you can afford the steel, the carbody can be rebuilt. And this happens to be an outstanding "save" to start from.

This photo was posted by Richard Werner, Jr. on the Anthracite Railroads Historical Society facebook page on Tuesday, with this caption: "Ex- EL RR Comet coaches that Septa bought years ago from NJT during an equipment shortage are finally being cut up behind SEPTA’s Roberts Yard, Philadelphia, Pa this week. " But you will notice that the FA is still there too. Hopefully the supposed new owner was just given some time to remove it.

So where are we at with #615 today? The consensus in the air was that the organization in Virginia failed to materialize the necessary muscle needed to get it down there. I haven't heard from anyone on the subject and I don't believe any of the Long Island institutions are in a position to obtain it. Would someone like to step up and intervene given the current situation.
