Sounds like a surviving Rio Grande Zephyr F9B owned by the UP is about to bite the dust.

Ex-DRGW F9B headed to Roseville

This unit was kept from the scrappers just after the merger. It went to Cheyenne with plans made to rebuild it into a unit that could help the steam engines when needed without looking so much like a diesel (a la Clinchfield). It also has dynamic brakes.
...
The unit has had the traction motors removed and is headed to Roseville to either be used as a parts source for the existing snowplow snails or to be rebuild into a snail.

I'm surprised UP didn't end up donating #5763 to the Colorado museum it would've almost have made a complete set. The fact that they've had it sitting there for years and didn't do anything is a sad shame. The steam genny was also removed few years ago and is rotting elsewhere. Unless someone steps in soon I don't a bright future ahead for this rarity.
