Didn't we have a list of NP cars here at some point?

From Facebook:

The Babbling Brook is about to have some company! If you live in Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri, or Kansas, you will see a surprise on the back of BNSF HPASKCK9-16 (leaving Laurel, MT approx 0500 MDT on 7/18/2017) over the next few days as Northern Pacific 313 (Dome/Sleeper) , 549 (Dome/Coach) , and "Loch Ness" (Slumber Coach) are making their way across the country. These cars proudly served on the North Coast Limited, and are headed for restoration before joining the fleet.

Great News!!!

Where did they come from?

Are they in as good a shape as they appear?

These are 3 of the 8 cars that were part of the Mike Gelhaus collection in Spokane, WA. Mike died unexpectedly a few years ago, and the 8 cars were sold off last year.

These cars are in decent shape, everything considered, but the domes are still steam heat/DC electrical. They will need all the usual work to get them Amtrak Certified and back in operation.
