After GTW 75072 was first repainted, and before we had the flat cars converted to open air cars, we put some seats on the platforms and used it on our trains. After the flat cars were converted, it was used for a while as a "shop" to sell various non-railroad "knick knacks" of various types by one of the wives at the museum. Not particularly succcessful. The car is currently used for storage. I'd like to see it used for railroad displays, but that hasn't happened. Les |

Unfortunately every railroad museum that has one uses it for storage or MOW. |

The Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, GA has a transfer caboose you can ride behind. It is Southern Railway XC7871. |

The Monticello Railway Museum in Monticello, IL also has a rideable transfer caboose. It's ex-Illinois Traction Company but I can't remember the number. To my knowledge you can ride it at Railroad Days every September because they use it for their caboose hop operation. Thomas Dyrek |
