Has there ever been a guide to determine the age, etc. of the old wool Pullman blankets? Logo,s numbers within logos, etc. Trying to determine a date on mine but I have no way of telling.

I think that Erie-Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society put such a guide on line when they were trying to get blankets reproduced for sale and to furnish a Nickle Plate Road sleeping car.

There was an article a few years ago providing this information. At this time I cannot remember if it was in Passenger Train Journal or Classic Trains.

For the traditional blankets the numeric numbering started some time in the early 19-hundreds and then advanced a number each year.

I googled to see what is on the internet. And found this:
Pullman Blankets! Anyone know what the numbers mean?
