Post subject:  Documenting the PRR Position Light Signals
I'm excited to share a recent piece I wrote for The Trackside Photographer about the loss of the venerable PRR Position Light Signals, many of which are being replaced in the push to become PTC compliant.

File comment: The opposing signals at Port Royal, Pennsylvania still stand in the Summer of 2016, reflecting a section of railroad converted to Rule 261 operation, which means trains can run in either direction on both tracks. The left (eastbound) signals are automatic block signals, where as the right (westbound) signals have a partial second arm, indicating they are semi-automatic, providing the ability to display aspects in advance for the approaching interlocking at Mifflin, Pennsylvania.

Love you work. Hate the "content protected" popup whenever I go to scroll down the page. Yes you obviously love your photos, but that is a bit excessive.

Thanks Rick! I've never had that issue, though my own blog doesn't offer that service
It seems like every feature comes with a downside on one browser or another.

We have four PRR signal heads and will be creating a complete signal for display at Marter Yard in Youngstown. That drawing will be a great help in doing that.
