Subtitle: A Tawdry Story of Caffeine, Insomnia and Internet Research

There truly is a reason why I am awake at this unholy hour, and it has in part to do with my frantic efforts to improve the recency and accuracy of the information steamlocomotive.info presents.

The executive summary: I finally figured out what happened to an 0-4-4-0T that seemed to have vanished.

The gory details are at: https://steaminfo.wordpress.com/2017/08 ... -research/

Looks very much like the two active meter gauge 0-4-4-0T's on the Harz Mountain Railway.

Thanks, Glenn. I'm going to keep writing blog entries when I come across interesting things and not it on here as well.

I think preserving this data is the moral equivalent of wrenching on a locomotive. I don't bust my knuckles, but I am preserving data. Now if we want to talk about carpal tunnel syndrome, well that's another story.

Regards,
Doug

And the data can be just as important as the objects themselves.

Thank you for all the work you do, Doug. Your website is truly indispensable.
