Circleville Ohio, Sturm & Dillard Company #106. Alco, 1920, 0-6-0T. County Fair Board is looking to get rid of it.

I have no interest. Just passing along. Moderators please move if desired.

Looks to be the same model of Porter as our steam Thomas, aka. BEDT #15. A few details are different such as the sloping backhead, and fluted main rod.

What a deal !!! I'd be happy to give all the APPLIANCES a good home, and move them NEXT WEEK.

Might be a good addition to the Gramlings (Have engine, will travel) engine fleet.

Sweet little tank locomotive for some group! I wonder if the asbestos is still present? I wonder what the overall condition is as far as boiler and saddle tank?

Never laid hands on her, but in general quarry lokies tend to be well used up and put up wet. So, yes, the price is right if you can find a way to do the move at reasonably low expense. I'd love to have her in my driveway, but can't afford the subsequent divorce also.

First appearance says she's got hope. Let's hope one of the "good guys" grabs her.

I AGREE. She looks very nice to me. So nice that I told one of the local good guys (with a 501c-3) about it, I sure hope they get her. If they do, I promise not to steal any parts off her.

It's VERY NICE of these folks to make this kind of offer, too, compared to some of the skullduggery that often goes on in these cases (too often to suit me).

And THANK YOU Mr Bunge for posting this.

I was struck by how complete she is; and in today's world and experience, it looks like it would be a pretty easy move. Her and sister 105 apparently were stored in the quarry, just a short distance away into the 1970's. I don't know what happened to 105.

The 105 is at the Age of Steam roundhouse.

Saving the 106 is worth chipping in a few bucks to see it go to a good home. I still don't understand why the fairgrounds want to get rid of it. It's not like it takes up a whole lot of room and they seem to have plenty of space to move it to. And as mentioned, it can't be that difficult to move.

Doesn't matter that much... since you'll need to go through it with a fine tooth comb and do a new Form IV anyway.
