Pretty tricky smoke and mirrors Rick. I did a quadruple take on the last few seconds. After about the 3-4th time I had to stop the video to see the boiler was missing. Suppose it could of happened this quick but I had to see it to further my thought process. Very cool.

So is everything bolting up like you want it too? Seems you change one thing and then nothing else lines up for the next 3 months. Wearing your T shirt as I type this, funny coincidence. Keep up the good work. Regards, John,.

Great work! I, like some others, thought this engine pretty ugly, but she's growing on me, and of course, I have to admire what you're doing, not only with the locomotive, but with everything else at your site.

Now, while you're waiting for the boiler, maybe you can just take inspiration from the model railroad crowd, and stick a traction motor in there with a worm gear. . .

Since tomorrow is our annual open house and I had the chassis, cab and tank on hand I thought it would be good to quickly assemble everything and see what the loco looks like in one piece. There is still work to do before it runs, namely installing the boiler, but this is the first time in about 40 years or so that one of these Porters has been seen with it's saddle tank.

A couple of pics of the 58 as she appeared at the Open House yesterday. Thanks to everyone who has supported this project. It is greatly appreciated.

Still a lot of work to do but we are over the hump now!

BTW the yellow thing is the Brookville from the Railroad Museum of PA. It's restoration will now take priority and I hope to have it running in a relatively short period of time.

A most impressive undertaking!
Did you get the new rails installed at that site, Rick?
