Folks,
The Northwest Railroad Museum announced plans to move a Pullman sleeper or lounge car off Bainbridge Island last summer. I hope they got it!

Does anyone have an update? Do not see anything about it on their web site.

Parlor car 1799 is located on an island in Puget Sound. The donors are in a complicated permitting process to build a new summer home, and the site is one that would likely be unbuildable/undevelopable if it were not already occupied because it is next to a steep slope on one side and a sensitive aquatic environment on the other side. So they have asked us to leave the car on site until the Shoreline Substantial Development permit is issued. Naturally, we have agreed to work with them on this and hope to move the car in the foreseeable future.

Thanks for your interest!
