I don't follow things as much as I used to, but in the 80s during my teens I subscribed to Railroad & Railfan magazine. There was an article sometime in the 1980s about an older gentleman that had all these heavyweight passenger cars he had saved and parked on his property, I want to say he was in Connecticut or somewhere in the North East. Anybody know what I am talking about? |

I believe that was Jim Bradley. He lived along the shore and had quite a collection. Howard P and other active RMNE (Railroad Museum of New England; http://www.rmne.org) would have better information. Quick Google search found this old article: http://www.nytimes.com/1986/01/05/nyregion/collecting-trains-on-a-grand-scale.html |

The Great Republic is in service on the Valley Railroad, isn't it? |

There is lots of information on these cars in an old RYPN thread, The Pullmans on the Hill viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1530 Paul |
