Didn't BNSF rip the connection tracks out?

Google Earth/Street View shots from 2014 show the wye in question overgrown with agave and dirt roads, but eminently restorable--and I witnessed N&W 611 wye through the probably tighter Toccoa, Ga. wye in 1994.

The bigger problem, as I'm sure the Santa Fe Southern confronted, is that Lamy ain't got much. A big excursion train disgorging a trainload of passengers could easily triple the population of the "town" itself.

And before you ask, Santa Fe's Rail Runner station is even worse--just a stub-end terminal.
