Post subject:  Donation to Marceline, Mo Museum coming soon

I have read on Facebook that the Walt Disney Hometown Museum in Marceline, Mo is going to be gaining a new display from BNSF within the next few days. Rumored (not confirmed by museum staff) to be SD40 BNSF 6308. It would be nice if they would move the steam engine and caboose from the park over to the siding in front of the station with this new donation as well to create a mini railway museum / display. But that would cost big bucks. Hopefully one day in several years they can get the GE donated that made the last stop in Marceline. That would be extra special to many, especially if returned to Super Fleet Warbonnet paint.

When I went to Santa Fe engine service in Jan of '79. I had to make a student Fireman trip from Emporia, KS to Wellington, KS. I caught a 188 train with 5008 on the point, and we made the 113 mile trip in exactly 2 hrs.
