Nick Ozorak interviewed me recently for the Roundhouse podcast and it is now online. If you are interested in learning about our project in Youngstown this pretty much lays it out. http://theroundhousepodcast.com/2017/11/06/youngstown-steel-heritage/ I am still making progress toward our anticipated spring initial fire up date for the 58. I quickly assembled the components for our open house in September and also to test fit everything. Now I have pulled the tank back off and the rear platform is coming back apart so that mounting holes can be drilled and tapped and minor adjustments made. Then the whole thing will start going together again over the winter. By the way, the only missing part that I have not found a replacement for is a drifting valve. Has anyone seen one out there that may be available for sale?

The drifting valve has 1 1/2" NPT pipe thread. |

Rick, between this and all your other projects around the various museums in your area I don't know where you find time to sleep. Keep up the great work you are definitely on my short list of places to visit when I happen to be in that neck of the woods. |

Well, I've got two that are definitely NOT FOR SALE. However, if it helps, I might be persuaded to let you copy one of mine if you have no better options. Take Care & Work Safe Viva J&L #58 |

The Cedar Point & Lake Erie uses drifting valves, but once again I don't believe that they have any that they will let go. |

BTW, I enjoyed the podcast. Very informative. I originally hailed from a mill town myself - Aliquippa, PA. |
