Somehow I got the idea that Milwaukee wrecker X17 had been given to the Minnesota Transportation Museum in St. Paul. When I asked them they had never heard of it. Anybody know what happened to it?

Was that the one in storage in Rosemont? If so, it was scrapped back around 2000. It was in the way of a MNDOT highway project. The main gear ring was fractured. Colfax RR Museum got parts from it.

Herb,

I would be greatful if you could ask around and find out which wrecker that was. What parts did you get?

We got the hooks and the control levers and lights. We salvaged the motor, but that was sold for reuse by a trucker.
