I'm out of the steam business now, but I'm hearing good things about PB&J. I think if the 1522 were resurrected, I would lobby for the crown brass to be modified and converted for use with PB&J. Looks like SR 630 and 4501 are doing great using it.
The days of finding the GOOD hard grease for grease cellars is over. There are plenty of places where we got pin dope, but not good hard grease.
We always had excellent results with Interlube products. Steam Cylinder Oil and Carbonless Air Oil.
