Post subject:  Gordyville & Western RR museum
Does anybody have information on the Gordyville & Western RR Museum at Lincoln, IL? I think it is, or was, the privet collection of Gordon McCann. At one time he had two cabooses, a box car and a small crane.

Does not appear to have a web site or any other listing. Found this reference to two of the cars
listing for the two cabin cars is as follows

NYC 21055 ex-PC/CR 21055, steel/small bay window, Class N7B, Gordyville & Western RR Mus., 217-732-7560
SP 1751 steel, bay window, Gordyville & Western RR Mus., with boxcar & 6 ton rail crane, from Seattle, WA

If this is the same guy I'm thinking of, he also bought a GTW transfer caboose and never moved it or paid any storage where it was located, claiming he was waiting for it to be moved out via rail (was never going to happen). The RR it was stored on "repossessed" it for lack of response or action on his part.

Here's a photo of the ex-Southern Pacific caboose when it was still in Mineral, Washington back in 2012:

Looked in pretty good shape at that time.

The caboose number must be a typo. I can assure you that the #1751 is owned by the Mt. Rainier Railroad & Logging Museum and still at the Mineral facility.

I remember hearing about this museum at a train show a couple years ago. Apparently they weren't doing so well and the owner was preparing to sell the equipment.

I have no idea. At the time I heard about it, the museum was, from what I heard, still in operation. I would say the best bet for finding where the equipment went to is calling the number and hopefully whoever answers will have some information.

I am particularly interested in the 6 ton crane that was among the equipment at the Gordyville & Western RR Museum. Would anyone have photos of that particular piece of equipment?

The crane is a 7 1/2 ton AH&D "American Eagle"

Found some info on the Peoria railroad closed facebook group. Here is Gordon McCann's gofundme page:

It doesn't say anything about a crane, but there is contact info there. A quote from the Peoria railroad facebook page: "The Illinois Central Electric Railway depot is at the West side of Bryant on BNSF's Dunfermline Subdivision. The cabeese are in southeast Missouri."

I asked about the crane on the Peoria facebook page, one of the main guys there knows Gordon McCann and says he will ask him the next time he sees him.
