It’s been a while, but a new post is up on my blog, chronicling over 100 years of change on the PRR Main Line at North Bend Cut in Chester Country, Pennsylvania. http://michaelfroio.com/blog/northbend |

For those keeping score at home, this 2 degree curve is at about MP 47.4 of PRR Phila Division (AMTK Harrisburg Line) where the Atglen and Susquehanna Branch (Low Grade Line) came Eastward from Columbia via a steel trestle high above Safe Harbor while the Main Line curves from Gap and Christiana, compass North, RR West. East of here the A&S Branch had paralleled the Main Line to Parkesburg MP 44 where Eastward Main Line tracks 1+2 jumped over the A&S Branch thus keeping the freight tracks in the middle so they could join the Main Line without conflicting moves.
