It’s been a while, but a new post is up on my blog, chronicling over 100
years of change on the PRR Main Line at North Bend Cut in Chester Country, Pennsylvania.

For those keeping score at home, this 2 degree curve is at about MP 47.4 of PRR Phila Division (AMTK Harrisburg Line) where the Atglen and Susquehanna Branch (Low Grade Line) came Eastward from Columbia via a steel trestle high above Safe Harbor while the Main Line curves from Gap and Christiana, compass North, RR West.

East of here the A&S Branch had paralleled the Main Line to Parkesburg MP 44 where Eastward Main Line tracks 1+2 jumped over the A&S Branch thus keeping the freight tracks in the middle so they could join the Main Line without conflicting moves.
