If any of you ever wanted to meet and hear a presentation by our own Rick Rowlands of the Youngstown Steel Heritage Society, he will be presenting the program this Friday, June 22, at the Akron Railroad Club, where he will talk about his preservation work, and has also promised us a major announcement!

The Akron Railroad Club meeting will be at 8 pm, at New Horizons Christian Church, 290 Darrow Rd., Akron. Use the Gilchrist Rd. exit off of I-76, just East of the former AC&Y Brittain Rd. (now WE) yard, and turn North on Darrow Rd., past the Bob Evans restaurant. Visitors are most welcome and encouraged.

I don't believe the church has Wi-Fi in the social hall. If it does, we don't know the password. We're lucky we have a laptop and a digital projector.

I believe that a smartphone with unlimited data either by itself or used as a hot spot for another device will do.

Fine if someone there that night has one.

I could bring the Go Pro and video it. I've always wanted to watch me give a presentation so that I can critique myself!
