By "legitimate" do you mean "preservation oriented/not a scrapper" or "someone who actually has money to follow through"?

A combination of both.

Until someone speaks up I think we have to assume that every piece is going to the scrapper, with the probable exception of the $35K, $25K and $15K Fs. I also think that $10k for the Baldwin is a bit high to recover any scrap value, but we aren't certain those are real bids.

If you look at the prices, it looks like that's where they started....so, there have been no bids on at least the locomotives....

the UP 200 is the highest bid. Interesting. A GP9 isn't worth 50G's in scrap metal.

That "bid" was placed a month before the auction started. Most likely that was the minimum.

I just wonder why only the GN generator car says "reserve not met" if the other equipment didn't receive bids at all.

Out of curiosity, did anyone catch if the tamper copped any bids? I wasn't in a position to be on the internet this afternoon.

That listing was newer than all the rest. I would guess the reserve either changed or was omitted from the initial listing.

Looks like a high percentage of the ITM leftovers didn't make the cut at auction and are now listed in the general sale side of OMR's website. Wooden boxcars, $1500, locomotives fairly cheap in many cases, passenger equipment, etc.

Lets see, we could not sell them at auction with the reserve that was set, so let's raise the prices.

Someone needs a real reality check for the values on this equipment, considering the cost to move this equipment off the property.

Those prices may not necessarily be set in stone. Make a reasonable offer and see if it's accepted. The city is now the owner and I'd bet they'd like them gone sooner rather than later. It's likely a liability issue for them.
