Anyone arguing that there was a prettier semi-streamlined steam locomotive than a "Bullet Nose Betty" is probably in for a fight. 6069 sits in "Centennial Park", Sarnia, and is receiving some cosmetic attention. For some reason, a rubberized wrapping has been placed around the locomotive and a piece of plastic fencing is wired to the underside of a portion of the boiler. I saw no asbestos leakage and three sides of the locomotive have received fresh paint. 6069 is illuminated and sits adjacent to live rail. The park is well attended and manicured, so there are people around the locomotive at all times. Donors to the maintenance of 6069's appearance are noted on a sign, which encourages continued support. Okay, so she's not running and she should be under a roof, nevertheless, she exists and looks to be cared for.

If you do not like this report, you will certainly not like my next report on CNR 6077 .

Maybe Peter, who works on the engine may chime in eventually, if he still visits this forum.

Her boiler jacket was coated in elastomeric coating to stop water from causing issues with the bellyjacketting hence the plastic support... work isstill underway and she is in good hands .

the 6069 was the first steam locomotive I ever saw. She is still very impressive.
