Is it a Vapor in disguise?

Thanks

I have data on a heater used in a 25 ton GE switcher made by Kysor heater company. Will this help?

Try contacting the Conrail or Erie Lackawanna Historical Societies. You might something there. I can find nothing on San-O-Cab as a manufacturer. Maybe it was a product line of a kerosene heater maker.

"Today we fired up 24029's San-O Cab Heater for the first time in years. Next is to bleed the fuel lines between the tank and the first valve before the stove and it will be ready for use. Thanks to Steve Huse and his brother for spending the day crawling around on the floor helping me with this."

I will try the EL folks. CRHS has yet to respond to my previous inquiries so they must be busy.

San-O-Cab Div Walton Products INC Broomall PA was the manufacturer. The only Walton Products company I see on the web has only been in business 25 years or so.

Here's the model serial tag.

Will try to post a picture of the stove tomorrow.

Hmmmm.... That looks familiar. We may have one or more of those. I'll have to check our cabooses. We have three ex-Conrail cabs of PRR & NH heritage.

We have three of these. One's a rotten goner. The other two may be restorable or combined into one good one. I haven't located anything yet online either. Before we run down the same road a year or two from now, please let us know what you find out if anything. I'd be happy to post any documentation on the web for all to use.

Thanks.

crij - When you get a chance, could you please measure the instruction sign? It looks like it was printed on aluminum. If I get some spare time, I'll do some reproduction artwork so I have it ahead of time and make it available to others.

Thanks

The sheet of aluminum is 8.5x11. Here is a better image of the instructions.

We had an ad for one of these (said to be 'complete') posted back in 2012:

http://www.rypn.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=33397

Perhaps the person concerned either still has it, or knows where it went, and can advise about any details the other sources so far may not have provided.
