Anybody operating Chinese #11 non-lifting injectors? I'd be interested in hearing about their performance. |

A note on Chinese Injectors. The ones made years ago by Nan Ko or at Mudanjiang Locomotive Factory are much better made than newer ones made by others. I have complete sets of drawings for most Chinese made injectors which are mostly copies of Nathan injectors. The #11 non-lifting was the least common. The 16.5 non-lifting and the 10 lifting are the most common and might still be sourced. If the injectors are maintained steam tight and leak proof they work well but I do not think were up to the quality of US made. Probably do to poor Q&C and inferior material and castings. Hi Tim: Many years ago (c.2000?) I sold a pair of brand new X-11s to Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. They also wanted spare parts for them (which I was unable to supply). J.David |
