The work of a little known photographer who recorded the people and places of railroading in the 1930s and 40s, is brought out of the shadows by Bob Hughes, who had the privilege of digitizing this fascinating glimpse of railroading in the steam era.

All very nice, I know several people who would be interested.

But since you are so scared of people stealing your article, that I cannot cut and paste a snip-it of text to send to them, I will not tell then about it.

Hudson, unfortunately, many people feel that anything posted on the internet is up for grabs, and many of the contributors who write for The Trackside Photographer have had their work taken and used, sometimes for commercial purposes, without permission, without crediting the source, and in some cases falsely claiming to be the author of the appropriated work. I feel it is necessary that the people who write for us have their work protected.

There is no way of knowing the intentions of someone copying from the site. I know this is inconvenient for someone, like you, who has good intentions, and I am sorry for that, particularly since it seems to have soured you on The Trackside Photographer.

I might also mention the we have a strict policy that nothing get published on The Trackside Photographer without the permission of the creator, to whom we give proper credit.
