Terrible news - my sympathies to the rest of the family.

This is sobering news, the Ranger kids had lost their father Dan just a few years back and now one of the siblings is gone.

I had spoken to Dave on the phone earlier this year. We recounted how he had fired for me at the young age of 13 on the Klamath & Hoppow Valley RR. in Northern California in 1972. He was a real happy-go-lucky individual and we always got along really well.
