| Post subject: | Nominations open for HeritageRail Alliance Awards |
Each year at its Fall conference, the HeritageRail Alliance recognizes tourist railroads, museums and individuals for their significant achievements in railway preservation. This year's conference is Sept. 18-21 at West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish, BC. We're looking for nominations for these awards: Significant Achievement during the last 12 months: Steam locomotive Diesel locomotive Electric car Passenger car Freight car, non-revenue car Infrastructure Archives, Scholarship Lifetime Achievement Award William Purdie Award for Youth Involvement Friend of Railway Preservation (generally someone not at a museum or tourist railroad) You can post your nominations here, or email me at aaronmona@aol.com. For those of you who posted nominations last year that weren't awarded, we've retained them and they will be reconsidered this year. No need to re-nominate. The deadline for nominations is August 1.
