I have heard through contacts the that the railroad suffered several breaks in the line? The Government blew $240 million dollars to rebuild it 10 years ago. So is Ecuadorian Government going to leave it out of operation again after promoting it as a major tourist attraction? Nothing on their website says the railroad is closed?
