Post subject:  ASR 2100 Project - Work Resumes and Staybolt Work Started

All,

Work has resumed on the 2100 following proper social distancing protocol as set forth by the state and our landlord as the State of Ohio has now started its gradual reopening process. We had a great work session Saturday and also had a small crew of two (2) start on cutting of staybolt material into rough lengths for forging and machining at Bleil Machine Company in Mentor. Thanks to the generosity of many of you right here on RYPN, we are now ready to commence work on the staybolt production process. All rigid staybolts were cut Saturday and ready for drilling and the flexies are underway as well.

Now with staybolt work underway we have also launched our next fundraising campaign to fund the welding of the flexible and rigid staybolts, 554 in total, at $9.00 each. Click here to sponsor any number of staybolts welded in place.

Note that you can still sponsor a new cap or half sleeve at this same link. 85 of each are required. Feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions you may have.

Once again, thank you to all of you here at RYPN for your fantastic support in helping us reach our goal with the fundraising for the manufacturing of the new staybolts. I will provide more photos next weekend after our next work session where we'll have a little more than photos of a guy standing at a saw to share with you all!

Sincerely,

Rob Gardner
ASR VP and 2100 Project Manager
