While this project has been on and of for the better part of 2+ years after sitting un-used since 2012 a few of us have decided to tackle the remaining items on BC-21 to get her running better and more reliably. Previously she had been running on one motor that would decide to shut down after an hour or so of use. Over the past month we have been troubleshooting the front motor not loading after commanding it to do so, after swapping out the fuel pump with a spare in the shop, checking and replacing solenoids, cleaning out lines it all came back to the pump. After taking pressure readings that showed there was something wrong with the pump we had decided to take the working pump from the working motor and placing it to the troubled engine, sure enough there were no problems and it ran like a top! We were able to take another spare pump and add it to the rear motor with no problems as well, its always good to have a small little victory in 2020!

I do have a question. Is this unit still running DD 6-110 engines, or has it been converted to something else?

I ask because I am trying to find parts to get an older 6-110 going that is in a 1930's Plymouth ML-8. This is an OLD 6-110 with the pinwheel blower. Do you have a source for liners, rings, gaskets and bearings? I would like to do an in-frame on this thing, but due to parts availability, since this is not the original engine I have also thought about re-engining to maybe a DD 8V92. As I understand it, it originally had the gas Buda engine.

Any direction or assistance would be appreciated.

Converted to Cummins NTA-855R's with a twin disc transmission by BC Rail in the 80's

If you have to go that deep of a rebuild, I think you would be crazy to not think about a repower at this point. 6-110 stuff is getting really rare. I helped a friend source stuff about 2 years ago now for a full rebuild, it was a real chore, and its certainly not getting any better.
