Would anyone be able to supply more information on the status of #306 CSX office car,nee SBD, ACL. Railfan&Railroad magazine is soon to publish an article on the car and its use by the late CSX vp of ops, David Hastings. As the author of the article, I have been asked by the magazine to establish when the car was built, and its final disposition -- preserved by whom?, scrapped when and where? Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Chuck Fulkerson fulkerson1947@gmail.com http://www.chuckfulkerson.com

It looks like it was at the Collis P. Huntington branch of the NRHS in 2012:

This photo caption says it is a former US Army hospital car:

The late Jim Laboda's website says this: (ex-SBD, exx-SCL, exxx-ACL, exxxx-308, nee-USA 89320) LW business car rblt. from USA hospital car, in Pullman green). http://passcarphotos.rypn.org/Indices/BC6.htm

There's another thread on this car on this site, originated by Otto Vondrak:

I forgot about that: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44823&p=306052#p306052

The CPH chapter would know one way or the other, but I can't find a website or contact info for them.
