Well where to start....

Covid really put a damper on progress for 2020. However we were able to plod along with a few areas to at least manage to make some progress. With lock down in March last year we could not work on her as a group. Attention turned to the cab interior as it is something we could work on with smaller numbers. Repainting of the cab interior got underway over the spring and summer.
We had a fantastic donation of material and Labour that left us with a newly installed tongue and groove wood floor as per original. So nice to see the floor back to a safe and useable state once more.
Later on in the summer and into the fall, we were able to make more progress with the repaint of the fireman's side tender trucks and framework. This area is now complete and can be ticked off the list.
unfortunately we are behind schedule in completing the tender green paint on the fireman's side of the coal bunker and installation of the herald. We hope to get this completed this summer .
Regards,
Peter

She was a daily sight on the Dundas Sub, stretching her train on the Copetown Hill, then hitting 80 plus on the way to Brantford.
Congratulations and thank you for all your hard work.

You need not apologize for the restoration work you are accomplishing. It'll be ready when it's ready, and never you mind the critics. Steam restoration is never easy work, and this particular locomotive has a special place in everyone's heart.

Well done!

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen! Another picture of our hardy little crew. Keep in mind the temperature was barely above freezing when they were painting.... Dedication!!

Talking with CNR engine men years ago, they were not always fond of the exhaust steam injectors used on the later power. The ES injector on No. 6060 was not working through some her eastern excursion career -- maybe all of it? The fellows used regular injectors. I wonder if Mr. Home ever connected it back up in Alberta?

Simon is one of our newer volunteers who has been helping for a couple of years now. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to Steam Locomotives and loves to help out, whether it be paint removal, repainting, giving tours etc. He is a very valuable member of our group.
