Post subject:  A couple of questions

A couple of years ago, the Electric Railway Association was forced out of Grand Central Terminal by high rental costs. I think the Shore Line Trolley Museum offered space for their library.

Does the Electric Railway Association still exist?
Do they still publish ERA Headlights?

Hi Ted:

The ERA is very much still alive, and publishes Headlights on a semi-regular basis.

They have recently had a series of excellent Zoom presentations as well.

I was unaware that they had been forced out of GCT. The last I heard was that access to their space was severely limited due to post-9/11 security changes. I just checked their website and can't really find out where their wonderful collection is now located - GCT or elsewhere.

The Electric Railway Association's Sprague Library was moved to the Shore Line Trolley Museum on River St. in East Haven, Connecticut. Some of it duplicates items in them Museum's library, so there are some sales of those duplicates.
