Lacking any posting from someone at WRRC I will contact the Plaintiff who won the judgement and ascertain if they have received their award as ordered by the court.

I'll report back when I have an answer.

More soon, Ross Rowland

I have a partial answer to one of the two issues. I spoke to Mr. Ray Moncrief a BOD member of the McCreary County ( Ky.) Heritage Foundation and he reports that no, they have not received any payment from WRRC despite the Arbitrators Award and the court order affirming it. He said that " we are persuing all legal avenues available to us and will continue to do so" to get paid. I wished him good luck.

As to the ghost coach. Inquiries are in to the NPS legal beagles and I will share their response when received.

More soon................Ross Rowland

By way of an update I have written 3 times to the Contract Legal Dep't. at the NPS and so far they have not responded at all. I'll give them another few days to come alive and if not I'll go rattle some cages in DC.

More soon maybe. Ross Rowland

Thanks superheater for that posting.

My apologies for not posting earlier that I did finally hear back from the Super at Scranton ,in answer to my several inquiries to the NPS legal folks.

The Super one sentence message was that the coach was presently not on the NPS SNHS property and there was no current updates available.

I have recently heard from a friend who reports that he recently saw the car on a siding at the Wasatch shop in Wyoming sitting on shop trucks and looking " very unfinished". Mystery to me how A. the NPS could have been " snookered" into awarding a contract in excess of $ 800,000 to rehab one day coach and B. for that kind of money why Wasatch didn't finish it post haste a laugh all the way to the bank ????

I've very recently been told the the NPS has instituted a lawsuit against Wasatch in this matter but I have not been able to verify that.

More if I learn more. Thanks, Ross Rowland
