The one and only GE 44ton switcher used by Union Pacific is located at the Danbury Railway Museum in CT.
http://www.danburyrailwaymuseum.org/44ton.htm

Every vintage pic of this loco I found is in the well known yellow/gray UP paint scheme.

According to
https://utahrails.net/up/up-diesel-pain ... ic-era.php
it was one of the last painted black with yellow striping/lettering switchers delivered before UP change to yellow/gray with red lettering.

Anyone have a photo of this loco in original black paint?

Not display, it's operable. The New Haven unit hasn't operated since it showed up there with the UP unit in 2006.

Being a single unit on the UP and during early times there may very well not be many pics of it in it's as delivered scheme
