Does anyone have a direct inside contact at White Mountain/Clark’s Trading Post? If so can you contact them to confirmation of the status of the Evans AutoRailer discussed in this thread. Messages sent to “contact us” have not been answered.

They used to employ a man in the shops named Leon Noel (seriously, that's his name) though I don't know if he is still there. You might call them and ask for Leon.

I've been to Clark's many times and have never seen the Evans AutoRailer. I suppose it is possible that it could be squirreled away in the Engine Shed.....but I doubt it. Every few years, they typically have a railroad festival up there, and they trot out everything that can move or be moved. I fully suspect that if the unit was intact, I would have seen it.

I believe that Leon Noel retired a couple of years back. Great guy! You might try asking for Russ Page, who has been a key member of the Steam Team at Clark's for many years. Russ is extremely knowledgeable. If this unit still exists on the property, he would know.
