A coat of fresh paint can be an enthusiasm builder for the public, not to mention a great preservative. 385 never really wore this paint scheme in Southern service, did she?

Hi Richard,

No, she did not wear this paint scheme on the Southern, but since she was a former Southern engine and then used in passenger service on the Morris County Central, she was painted in this scheme in the 1970's, as 4501 and 722 were painted on the Southern.
