Thanks to my friend Rafael Javaro for grabbing these shots of the only Alco PA2 in existence outside the USA or Mexico- at the railroad workshops complex in Jundiaí in Brazil. The photos are from November 2021. This particular PA, probably #600, was one of three exported to Brazil in 5'3" gauge. The other two were scrapped. It is a shell with no prime mover. A cosmetic restoration was begun about 20 years ago but never completed. The Jundiaí workshops complex is the home of the Companhia Paulista Railway Museum which appears to be largely abandoned, although security guards prevented Rafael from getting any closer pictures due to the danger of the area.

Well, the fact that there were security guards sounds good.

There are 117 different photos on the Tripadvisor page for the Museum, some of which show the full-sized exhibits...... https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractio ... Paulo.html The elderly 4-4-0 that features looks interesting, but it seems to be in the same general state as the rest of the former rolling stock there. Reminds me a bit of the sort of things you could find in Argentina back on a trip in 2007, though these were at an operating Railway Works....
