 Post subject: It’s SKYWARN time again (and other safety courses)

The fire thread reminded me that it is no longer necessary to round up the usual suspects for a two-hour in-person SKYWARN class. This gets you to the main training page where you can see what your local NWS office requires, etc.

If you live/work/volunteer in a wildfire area, you might find this one interesting. There used to be a basic course, but they haven’t had it up for a while:

If you look around the MetEd course catalog, you’ll find more potentially useful courses for flooding, road maintenance, etc. Most are broken into small chunks (15 minutes for a lot of them) so you could finish a course on an otherwise boring afternoon.
