Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to officially announce the existence of a project we have been working on at the Nickel Plate Historical Society for a few months now: The Nickel Plate Archive. https://archive.nkphts.org/ The NKP Archive contains thousands of NKP and NKP Adjacent images categorized by location, equipment type, and more. If you are a Nickel Plate fan, or even have a passing interest in it, it's a great way to spend a bunch of time when you're supposed to be working. Enjoy! |

Huge archive, covering decades of the NKP! Best is, it's free and available for research and railfans. This is more of what our hobby needs. Thanks so much! |

The Willis McCaleb images of 759 in the 1968-70 period are a real time machine: young Ross, young Doyle, Pop Moses, Joe Karal, Bob Claytor and a young Preston (?), Don Wood and Don Smith at Ogden, on and on. Even shots from the B&O dome car of the "chase" by the Island Airlines Ford Tri-motor chartered by Mike Eagleson, Victor Hand, and others. Amazing stuff. Howard P. |
