Here is what it looked like last April (scroll down a bit, it is something called a WebP file which I can't copy and paste): https://www.thetowntalk.com/picture-gal ... 452411002/

The state of Louisiana took over the Tioga Commissary museum in the early 2000's and moved the caboose and the 333 there to create an "official state logging museum". It never took off as an attraction, and despite the large influence of state money and other grants, the structural condition of the building resulted in its closure. The foundation, substructure, floor, roof trusses and roof are all badly deteriorated and with the drying up of state money for all state museums (most of them are now closed), the Tioga museum was at the bottom of the list and now has been sold. Still don't know where in Ohio that the engine went, but the caboose is going to Jena, LA.

I checked the facebook pages of some of the usual suspects (AoS, HV, LM&M, CVSR, ORM, L&WV, Orrville, etc., plus the Cedar Point amusement park) and didn't see a mention of a new-to-them steamer as you would typically see, perhaps the Ohio members here can think of some obscure place it might end up and check their facebook pages. It may not be going to Ohio at all.

ACTUALLY, DON'T CLICK ON THAT PAGE.

I clicked on the link, and my antivirus shut it down due to two separate infections.

Could be, but I have several redundant AV programs that didn't say anything. That website looks like a Gannett website, and they generally are OK. I wonder if it has something to do with the odd photo format.

News from Ahead of the Torch.

Supposedly IC 333 has ended up in Indiana, not Ohio, according to comments from Kelly Lynch on Ahead of the torch.

Overmod - I guess I'm a bit confused. Did New Era Railroad purchase ICRR #333 with the idea of restoring it to operation, or is it a private party that made the purchase and has made arrangements to run the 0-6-0 over New Era rails after it is restored?

More than likely a private party. Kelly did mention that the locomotive will operate on the New Era Railroad
