I don't think it was ever in Ohio. After being removed from Swope Park in Kansas City it was taken to Taylorville, IL to be returned to steam. That never materialized and it sat for many years in pieces there.
I wish Dave Conrad best of luck finding all of her and getting her to CT.

If they need patterns of any components, sister #1352 has most of her components and was still in Collierville, TN the last time I was there.

And just for the record, the Frisco 2-8-2 in Collierville, TN is sister engine number 1351.

Don't ask me how that 1351 got autocorrected to 1352. (It would be hard to imagine that the sister engine to 1352 would be 1352!)

The funny thing is that I carefully looked at that post before sending it... or thought I did.

For anyone not familiar with this class, these were 'rebuilt' from 2-8-0s, at about the same time that the Reading was rebuilding certain other 2-8-0s into the T-1 4-8-4s. In both cases the result is a very modern late-steam locomotive, with many of the 'mod cons' such as booster, Valve Pilot, and foam-meter.

Greetings:
While I did do the initial inspection of No. 1352, Wayne Hebert, my successor as Chief Mechanical Officer at Valley Railroad, is arranging for it's relocation to Essex, CT.
He has already visited the site and spoken with a crane company.
Included with the locomotive and tender was a trailer load of parts from the locomotive as well as parts stored at Bellevue and Cleveland, OH.
Still unaccounted for are the Nathan DV-7(?) mechanical lubricator and the gauge for the Valve Pilot.
