Portola RR Museum sold this Korean War-era Alco military MRS1 to the Yreka Western in Northern California a couple of years ago. UP would not move it on friction bearings, so it was finally loaded on this flatcar for movement north.

I have been to Portola and rented a GP-9 for an hour. Great fun, by the way!
I wanted to see what was on this post about the loco move, but all I got was an insulting message that stated I was not good enough to view the images, as I must be some sort of registered member to some sort of group to even be allowed to view the images!!! What a load of (ballast)!
Keep it universal or keep it private! Don't flaunt your private little groups on a supposedly public forum!

Granted, Bob made a boo-boo there. But FYI TrainOrders photos ARE available to non-member viewers outside the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM Pacific time Monday through Friday. You can try it this weekend; I just clicked through at 7:30 am on a Saturday morning in the East.
