OK guys, I'm a little red faced. That $500,000.00 number was an estimate I received in an e-mail from a B&O volunteer a few minutes before I posted my reply to Jim's message; if I hadn't been in such a hurry I'm sure I would have realized that he had inadvertently added a diget. I beleive the coach in question in a former B&O heavyweight pair-window, which needs to be stripped down to bare metal, have the interior rebuilt, have reupholstered seats installed, and have self-powerd HVAC slung under the frame (something the preservationist in me hates, but I concede is necessary for passenger comfort). 50K seems a more reasonable estimate.
OK, I can revise my estimate downwards a bit.....
This makes a lot more sense to me. Thanks for the correction.
Dave
