Post subject: "Best of its class" RR Museums

With all the discussion about what equipment RR museums should keep and that which they should unload, I thought I'd interject with two museums I think do a great job with what they have. [ They are not "big league" like the CSRM, B&O, IRM, RR Museum of Penn., or National Museum of Transport.] I hold up the Nevada State RR Museum and the Tennessee Valley RR Museum as front-runners in their class. They seem to take care of their equipment and do a creditable job of presenting railroading to the public. I realize the TVRM is more a tourist operation than a static museum and that explains why it has a superlative shop facility.
I value those medium-to-smaller museums that seem to do the most with less.
