Post subject: is there a doctor in the house?
PostPosted: Tue Jun 22, 1999 4:05 pm

a thought occurred to me while at the YMCA the other day: has anybody who does fitness training ever studied the movements of a fireman to determine what kind of exercise routine would best support and develop that kind of exertion?
for office rats like myself who do this on odd weekends, i think that knowing which muscles to focus on would be a plus;
til then, i'll focus on the ones for the arm and back
but there must be a doctor in the house, no?
Remember the saying Jim: "a good fireman works smarter, not harder". What are you worried about? Did you fellows add a few more miles to your run? :-)
How about a masseuse on duty, for the engine crews?
Keep up the good work at Spencer.
howard,
no extra miles (with only 3 to choose from, though, i WISH!) but just always looking for a better way to skin the cat; i figured everything else has been studied but this when it comes to the human body! jim
